Fostering guidlines
Please read this information before applying to foster a bird it will save you and us a lot of time
1. Anyone wishing to be considered for fostering must be a fully paid member of A1 Parrot Rescue
2. We will not foster to anyone under 18 years of age
3. If your circumstances change in such a way you can no longer foster, then any birds in your care must be returned to us. You can not sell or pass on the bird to anyone else
4. If you do not keep up your membership with A1 Parrot Rescue you will have to give back the bird
5. You may be asked to visit the bird you are interested in fostering where they are being cared for
6. We will carry out a home visit
Any birds being fostered will be removed immediately if
1. Birds are not being cared for in the appropriate way,
2. They do not have adequate cage or housing
3. They are not fed a well balanced diet of a good quality seed mix fruit veg etc
4. The seed they are fed is not one recommended for that bird
5.Proof that is not refuted by the member concerned of abuse of birds is provided to A1 Parrot Rescue
6. If approved for the bird you wish to foster you will be expected to collect the bird from where he/she is staying
7. You will be responsible for all vet care once you have fostered the bird, if you do not get treatment for your bird if needed we will remove said bird
